1. Tony and myself are not applying for the first team job. Although it is 'flattering' that people have asked us whether we are; we have a job to do with the Heanor Town Reserve Team. If we are asked to help out with pre-season training, we will of course do this and help in any way we can. The committee have supported us totally, and we will do whatever we can to help them out. I can let you know that they are trying very hard and they are committed to getting it right. Our first team managers job is an absolute great job to get and a honour for someone out there - as I have already mentioned on the CMFL forum. Lets get behind our committee and support their efforts.

2. Training will be on every Thursday come rain or shine and tonight we had 19 players turn up. Well done. A few more keep coming and we are attracting the right sort of players. Everyone worked hard tonight and even 'Heanor Red' scored two cracking goals - he might be in for a first team shout! If it rains, then tough, if it snows, then tough, we still train. Just want to make that clear to everyone.

3. I never said I would be playing in goal for the supporters??? These forums love starting rumours don't they? It is nice that this has attracted the right attention and I will do all I can to help get this organised.

Quite right you did not say you would play in goal but you did not say you wouldn't.
Danny, why not treat the supporters who have not seen you between the sticks before to a display of quality keeping. I'm sure you have not lost your touch!!

Well done with the training 19 is an excellent turnout at training.

You should come along and have a nosy at the talent on show steve, its refreshing to see a reserve team (and i'm on about all levels of football) committed so greatly to a team. that number of 19 is a great turnout, but theres more to come. i'm guessing that with a full group at trainin there would be around 24, not sure though. that goes for all followers of the lions, if you fancy coming out into the sun on a thursday night, come down.
