Very well said,
there was also a lot of negative comments in the crowd yesterday until we scored the 3rd...
Why cant the crowd stay off the players back for 90 minutes and try and encourage them? |

Got to say that the lads showed tremendous spirit last night, where the ref got his free kicks, bookings and yes, even our penalty from, I don't know.
Good movement, pace and some excellent crosses.
Only negative for me personally is I don't like the wing back system much, Graham and Scott would be much more effective in the oppositions half, I do accept that it allow us to crowd centre midfield more and stop the opposition playing but we saw against Southwell they just pushed 3 upfront. Anyhow not really a moan, the team looks hungry and the management should be congratulated after the stick they've had for keeping the boys motivated and bringing in some very skillful and effective players.
Just one more thing, Kimberley's pitch. What's that all about? |

very well played last night, even with the muppet in the middle. i think that scott fisher needs an out and out striker with him so he can run himself into the ground just like last night. sealey should have a starting roll, he helped change the game when he was on the field, just keep it up lads, if pelican can beat nettleham 9-1 we should be able to bang a few in! hope their not famous last words, see you all saturday:) |

Great result last night! Well done to all the lads they worked their socks off throughout and hard work usually pays off.
What really P****d me off last night was the moaning from before the first whistle, I moved from the right side of the "Stand" in an attempt to avoid listening to Bret being pulled to pieces, yes! even after the first goal, aparently one he couldn't miss!! to the other side of the stand, only to hear similar comments this time about the defence even before Kimberley scored thier first goal. I made the mistake of not taking an umbrella or I would have been as far away as possible.
I know people are entitled to their own opinions and I am sure Mick Rogers would agree constructive critisisum is only to be expected when the team has less than a handful of points from their opening games. As I have said before on this site you will not get rid of the moaners but to be on individual players backs from the off is not on.
Unfortunately the offending individuals don't visit this site, as far as I am aware, but I believe a quiet word it their earholes on Saturday may be on the cards!!!!
Up The Lions

Three cheers for the man !! I wholeheartedly support the fact that we now need to be cheering our successess with a brand new team and management who are looking to the future by bringing in new (young) blood.
We were all there once - and you only gain experince by being allowed to make mistakes and being gently coaxed into not repeating them, not castigated and heckled at ever turn.
Can we afford to berate young talented players, for example Bret, who has scored two goals in the last two games after joining Heanor Town FC to shape both theirs and the teams future.
Come on get behind the lads and help them evolve into confident players who are willing to make the tackles, get stuck in and give their all without fear of reprisals.
Yours

Because of holidays and other committments I havn't managed to see a game yet, roll on saturday. Steve I have supported the Lions for 30 years since I moved into the area and every season good or bad there have been moaners, if I guess who you are referring to they have been the same people. They have the same gripes now as they had back then, only if you listen to what they say it's usually rubbish, we won't change them, because they are only happy when they moan.Keep the faith Steve and see you Saturday. |
