Any news on the new Manager?
I see Stacey has gone to South Normanton and Andy F has been confirmed as the Assistant Manager of Gedling Town.
It will be interesting to see what sort of a side we can put out next season! |

I have heard from a well informed source that the new Heanor Town manager is Mick Rogers with Chris Seale as his assistant. Can anyone out there confirm that this is correct. Apparantley Mark Harvey and Glynn Stacey were not happy with the money on offer, and so have gone to manage ------"South Normanton Athletic" ??????? A noteably WEALTHY club. Ah well, such is life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Response to Andy Freemans post of 19th June
Although I did not exactly agree with some of the players you introduced to the club Andy or some of the tactics used. I do believe you and Dave tried to provide a good standard of footie which showed towards the latter part of the season which deserves some credit finishing in the top 6.
For that I would personally like to say a big "thanks, well done and good luck" to you and Dave Barber.
You stated in your post Andy that you left the club for two reasons, one due to the support of your son in football, which is understandable and secondly due to issues you had with the board. It would be interesting to know exactly what these issues were and if they are going to repeat themselves with the new Management Team in the fullness of time?
As you are no longer involved with the club I for one would like to know, and I am sure some others would too! how are you fixed Andy?

stevey boy, did you miss the part where he said its best kept between him and the board? if the guy doesnt want to say anythin then leave it. just saying thanks is nowhere near enough from us fans for the entertainment andys intelligence and humour has given us over the last season but all we have to say now is bring on mick rodgers, and chris seale. we gonna see sealey play again? |

give me a chance. Why are weargueing the point already in the close season surely what we would like to know is pre season friendlies and who is likely to sign as these are the main topics not argueing about the past season. |

No! Heanor _red, I certainly did not miss the point, what I am concerned with is the fact that HTFC has had a number of Managers over the last few years and Andy's reign has been one of the longest, being just over a year.
I am sure you would agree that continuing changes in the Management of any tean is unsettling and there is usually a backwards step before going forwards. If this continues we are never going to be in a position to be offered a place in a higher league never mind the on going saga of the ground facilities!
I have no problems with the incoming Management Team whatsoever but they will need time to gather a decent string of players around them. Just as it did for Andy.
I am aware of issues other former Managers have had and I do not want to see history repeating itself and having the true reasons out in the open would help prevent that, I Hope.

The new management team is actually Mick Rodgers as Manager and Mark Kelsey as his assistant. With Chris Seale and Gary Adul also part of the management team. |
