As Adam Nicholls will be departing the club at the end of the season (all the best to him by the way) A posssible replacement for Adam could be former town ground player Brett Adul, after his excellent display against the lions on saturday it must surely have opened a few peoples eyes.

More opinions please...

brett werent happy when he woz here b4 so y wud he be happy now? i don't want to offend anybody but we are looking into the past to go forward and it won't work, we need new players with greater ambition than former players (again, no offence) so we can get this club pushing forward again. whoever spotted adam last year, well done but we need to find another attacking midfielder to fill the void, whether he is hiding in the reserves or we haven't got him at the club we need another young intelligent energetic and ambitious player to fill the void. All the best adam you've been a true lion

I too would like to see someone with the ability of brett Adul back at Heanor. Adam will take a lot of replacing I know and Brett is a different type of player. I don't agree with Heanor _ Red Brett was a hard tackling sixteen/ Seventeen year old when he last played for Heanor Town and had a lot of stick, nonmoreso than from Bill Fossey. I am sure he has developed both physically and in attitude since then allthough I understand that he is still only twenty! I personall would like to see him back in the colours of HTFC.

I would like to wish Adam all the best at Matlock Town Good Luck young man you deserve to be playing at a higher standard!!!!!!!

Adam has been superb all season and he is going to be missed big time come August. Crying or Very sad A smashing young lad, and i wish him the very best of luck at Matlock.

I reckon replacing Adam in any kind of like for like way is nigh on an impossibility. He was almost invariably the outstanding player on the pitch not just for the Lions. His departure will once again bring into sharp focus our goal scoring problems and this needs addressing with as much priority as Adam's replacement. It seems to me to be inconceivable that we could be fortunate enough to sign up another 20 goal midfielder!!
Heanor have good quality players as our recent good run demonstrates. We have improved greatly since this time last season and now we need to take the next step to become a potent unit in which the strikers score most of the goals. Then we will have replaced Adam.
Many thanks Adam it's been a pleasure watching you in a Lion's shirt and all the best for the future.

I would also like to add to the chorus of appreciative remarks about Adam Nicholl's. He is a very talented and hard working player and will be sorely missed. His goals from midfield will be incredibly difficult to replace, we may however be able to replace him with a different type of player (Brett Adul was very young and physically under developed to be playing in Heanor's team at the time, but his talent was not in doubt) but to do this, the club must find that prolific striker it has lacked since the departure of Mr Sharp when at his peak? several seasons ago.
Despite all the moans this season I think it's been a much improved season from a football perspective considering the amount of younsters playing on a weekly basis.
Well done lad's.

I would have to agree with everybody, Adam will be a great loss. He has been outstanding and our best player this season. Hope Andy can replace him but i think this is a near impossible task. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Adam all the best for the future.

i agree with u emma, brett wud b an excellent signing 4 heanor. i no he is interested in coming back 2. brett woz very young when he last played 4 us but he has filled out abit as those who saw saturdays match will have noticed. even as a young lad his performances 4 the lions could'nt b faulted. 1 of his last games 4 the lions woz against dinnington in the last game of the season when we finished 3rd when he came on 4 towney after 10 mins and held his own against a very physical side and scored a cracking goal! also i no the manager is very interested in bringing brett back 2 the club. brett isnt 21 til october and wud b an asset 2 the club

Well said Chris, Brett was an excellent player in his last stint with the club and he looks as good now, if not better, going on Saturdays performance than he did then. He must be one of the better players in the CM league at this time. Given his age and the fact, as you state, he would like to come back, I would be at or near the top of my "wish list" for next season.

I wish Adam luck with matlock, i am sure he will do well like he did 4 us, and maybe brett will fill his space. however, as pointed out, adul was not happy at Heanor 1st time round, and there was a lot of negative comments about him in the crowd when he was at heanor. hopefully he does come back and play brilliantly 4 us, and silence his critics.
