I don't dissagree with either of the last two posts, but we are all speculating on what or who is to blame. The answeres remain with the Committee or Officers of AVBC but, I assume that they do not wish to share them with supporters, as we have heard nothing from either, perhaps taking it to the local press might bring better results as it will be council election time in May? I was asked by an official of HTFC after yesterdays Reserves fixture to mention the next time I was on the internet, which I took to mean this website, that the "FLOODLIGHTS ARE NOW FULLY OPERATIONAL" as was withnessed with a test run during the game. Unfortunately the same official did not, for whatever reason, mention anything regarding THE CHANGING ROOMS.

I presume with this fantastic news on the lights, the home fixture against Holbrook MW scheduled for this coming Wednesday is ON, could someone from the club confirm this?

this is our level and always will be , we could never get the following that alfreton, hucknall and ilkeston get, moving up leagues would not bring the fans back, fact is the old fans have passed away and the younger ones are not interested with local footy, moving up without the gates or funds would ruin us, heanor town died years ago as did the market and the shops, if it werent for tesco it would be a ghost town. unless we found a wealthy local business man or company then forget it , people have tried for years without success, just enjoy what we've got , i gave up after the fossey era , hurts but its true.

I heard at last Saturdays game that at the Committee meeting held the Tuesday before, that the plans for the new changing rooms were shown to the members of the supporters club who attended and, as I understand it, planning, finance etc was in place (I reported this back in late Feb/early March). I further understand that for the works to commence the committee had only to negotiate and sign the lease.

Not being a betting man, (£1 lucky dip on the lottery & £1 on the HTFC matchday raffle) I have predicted that the new changing rooms will not be completed and used by HTFC by the end of next season (2006/07). I have already pledged, with Kip, £10 to the supporters club funds if they are!

I have now had second thoughts about this and have decided that I was probably a little hasty on Saturday and would now wish to change my mind and make it £20!!!!!!!!! Wink Wink

I sincerely hope I am £20 lighter by this time next year!

Sorry Heanor_ Red you are as far away from the truth as the changing rooms are from being built. My information came from Paul Morley, if you really wish to know, information which I believe is in the public domain , well HTFC supporters at least, and not confidential. Is that correct Paul?

I am prepared to post in my real name and not hide behind an alias like your goodself. Why not let us know who you really are as you seem to have a lot to say for yourself from behind your mask!!

Egg on your face or what!!!!!! Wink Wink

Kip,

I suggest you don't spend the twenty quid just yet, anyway it might go up further as next season progresses!!!!!!!!

fair enough steve, i have no problem identifying myself as you and the great man paul morley have both spoken to me in recent weeks, maybe my way of expressing my views isn't how it should be done but hey, i'm never writing to offend or annoy. I only put my last post to see if there was any more information to be heard. If we get the changing rooms would it help spur the team on for promotion, what do you think?

No offence taken Heanor_red, If you really know me and you have taken a good look at all of my posts you will surely note that I do not rely on tittle-tattle for my information and generally they are supportive of the team and manager on the whole. I speak to Stan Wilton as I speak to many people at the Town Ground and listen to what they are telling me.

I truely have the interest of the football team at heart and hope one day to see them progress onwards and upwards. When I delve into archives etc and find information I ask questions. Unfortunately I do not seem to get an answer from the people who could give a true account of the situation, somthing to do with the website being unofficial I am informed.

I have my doubts as to the sincerity of the comments made by the present custodians of the club in wishing to progress to a higher level but time will tell.

If you wish to identify yourself to me at Bolsover on Saturday I would be happy to have a chat. In the meantime I will continue to support the team and try to encourage those in control that the majority of supporters and players would like to see the club playing at a higher level.

I think I have made my point.

Since my earlier post of 26th April I have heard very little on the "New Changing Room" situation well, in fact, bu**er all! Has anyone else heard owt?

I have just arrived back from hols and have had a miserable time as I have had to save twenty quid just in case they are built and I loose. On my return I had 40 Euros left in my back pocket. I am saving them just in case I have a mad rush of blood and up the bet. At the present time that equates to around thirty quid. You never know I might be tempted to increase my wager before too long!!!! Wink

In answer to your question about the lights situation, I think I am right in saying that it is all in the lap of the Phone company to make any repairs to the top pylon. This unfortunately does not seem to be being done after several promises.

As for the changing room situation, we dont seem any closer now than we did 5 years ago.

Probably the Department at the Council dealing with it are the same as the one making decisions to call off football matches a day too early.

One day we may learn the TRUTH !!!!!!
