We are playing Burton Joyce, Sunday side with a few players that play at a higher level!!
With regards to the Charity Match on March 4th. We have moved the Kick Off Time to 8.pm. Reason is that Harlaxton College (University near Grantham) are the sister University to the University of Evansville, USA. They are bringing buses over for fans and have asked us to send them 150 tickets for the game (we will see how many turn up?) For that reason they have asked for a later kick off.
The charity the match will be in aid of is the Anthony Nolan Trust (www.anthonynolan.org.uk). A friend of mine is doing events in the Derbyshire area over the next few months, and thought this would be a good opportunity to help out. (See letter below).
Tickets for the game will be on sale at the Club Thursday priced at £3.00 (£4.00 on the night of the game) and £1.50 for children U-16 (£2.50 on the night of the game)
Look forward to your support!!!
Letter from Steve Astle below with regards to the Anthony Nolan Trust
"For those of you that know me thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you take the opportunity to support our charity day. For those that don’t here is a little background information and how this event came about.
In July of 2007 our 4 month old son Mikko was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called MPS 1 Hurlers Disease. We were told that without a Bone Marrow Transplant his life expectancy would be less than 5 years. We opted to go ahead with this high risk procedure and a donor was successfully located from New York by the Anthony Nolan Trust.
After being in Manchester Children’s Hospital for 10 weeks over Christmas, we eventually got Mikko home successfully 100% engrafted with the enzyme that he had missing. At this point in time he is still in semi isolation and recovering well. Anthony Nolan Trust and the Manchester Children’s Hospital and many other people have been unbelievable throughout this time and we hope the success of this Charity Match will go a small way toward helping other children fight through similar adversity, for they are the real inspiration.
On a similar note, my EMGA colleague and co-organiser of this event James Whatley is running the London Marathon in April also for the Anthony Nolan Trust, please pledge James your financial support for this amazing effort by going to

for details.
Finally I would like to thank Heanor Town Football Club for their extremely kind gesture of courtesy of the ground for the night, and thank you also in anticipation of your support.
Many thanks
