For those of you who were not there e.g. The McCullochs in Florida, The Bennets in Israel, and several players who were ''UNAVAILABLE'' . I would like to say what was witnessed on the Town Ground this Boxing Day morning was quite simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH.!!!!!
Why, with so many players signed on for TWO teams, was it not possible to name one single fit substitute on the bench for a HOME GAME ?
And why do we persist in playing players in the team who are quite simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH !!!!!!
Answers on a postcard please from either FLORIDA or ISRAEL !!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL SUPPORTERS ( its got to get better ) |

Im going to get tore to shreds for this, but after todays performance at Heanor people might just listen lol
Sutton Town AFC Vs Calverton MW
3 o'clock, The fieldings.
Sutton are highest scorers in the league against top of table calverton.
If you dont fancy the trip up north then go and watch Sutton.
Good to see Danny Bryant at the game today. He's shown more of an interest than the manager over the christmas period lol

in responce 2 mick heatons comments, players missing, reid and leeming suspended, zane in south africa, ben sick overnite with a doctor being called, injured, jackson, asher, marvin, 2 late withdrawls causing jodie and myself 2 make numerours calls 2 no avail apart from matt groves, all this on xmas day, and al you can do is criticise, heanor have just gone 4 games unbeaten. and guess what not one comment on this site. in the near future we will have another open forum perhaos more than 2 supporters could attend this timell
on your second point about players not being up 2 standard, at times i agree, but rome wasnt built in a day, stability and positive support will help attract new players, one player from a north east counties site as already declined 2 come souley because of this website, whoose fault is that, i hope that as setttled some of ur issues, look 4ward 2 seeing u at our next forum, brian franks |

what about the lad heanor tried to sign last night from a team up the road?
we ever gonna heanor about that?
we cant attract nothern counties players because we are not up to the standard they are wanting to play. footballers, unless seriously stupid, dont make judgements on clubs by what a few fans think.
Jack is suspended, Jordan isn't, if he is, then what for? Nothing to do with a cup being played in the coming week isit?
What was timmo doing yesterday... matt groves was played out of the game down to the fact he was told to sit on the line and pretty much not move. Richard groves ran himself into the ground as per usual, Stevo didnt look on form, just a bad day for him though, the stand in skipper glory hunted on 2 occasions too when he could have squared for tap-ins. IF YOU ARE AFTER STAND IN PLAYERS, TRY RINGING TONY OR STEVE, THEY HAVE A SQUAD FULL YET AGAIN ITS 2 DIFFERENT CLUBS UNDER THE NAME HEANOR TOWN FC.
------------
Saturday Night
Hosiery Mills, The Fieldings, Sutton

jordan leemiing as a 1 week ban, that list is not always accurate, he is also away for three weeks in italy on holidays, robbie mawer, martin smith, danny roberts and myself have all played or managed in north east counties, so that blows ur theory, the potential at heanor is huge, but it still remains 2 be seen if that will be realised. also you need 2 make up ur mind who u support, heanor or sutton, make a choice and stick with it, happy new year |

Hi,
Im a fairly ( when i can ) frequent supporter of Heanor . I live only round the corner.
I was there on boxing day and was fairly disappointed with some of the performances. I was also speaking to a fellow supporter ( he was from Holbrook) who informed me that money is paid out to the Heanor players. Obviously this may be untrue but he informed me Holbrook and most clubs dont pay. It just seems strange that money is seeingly wasted at Heanor when clubs like Holbrook for example dont pay a penny but their players seemed a lot more committed. Would it be worth looking at players from these sorts of clus that dont want money?
There was certainately a few of their players that would improve the side.
The centre forward and two central midfieders showed up very well.
I just think that instead of paying average players why not look at committed players form non paying clubs. |

lion, one of the most sencible posts put on this site 4 a long time, as part of the management team i totally agree with ur post, and i can assure u that this is the long term plan 4 the club, most of holbrook side have played 2gether 4 a while, the buillding of a side and club cannot be done overnite, i even understand some of the other comments posted, but let me tell u some facts, after years of players and managers comming and going the club as lost stability, all this season is about is trying 2 relay foundations 4 the future, after this is achieved a team can be mouldered 2gether, with this plan there will be players who dont make the grade,so the 2 choises are show patients and judge early next season, or get rid and continue the trend of previous years, if ur as old as me u will remember alex fergerson was 1 game from the sack in a certain game against forest.....brian franks |

Thank Heavens for Mark Robins MUFC. As ive said before let the management get on with there job. Brian tells us there will be another meeting with us the fans, so next time get yourselves there, maybe just maybe you might understand what the team are trying to achieve. Let me just say in 1973 the great Manchester United Got relegated to then division 2. Liverpool where the best team in the land then, was i going to stop watching united? so i could watch better football at Anfield? NO CHANCE... WHY cause IM MUFC not a glory seeking fan. Heanor Town are my Local side, Always have been, and always will be.. So watching the likes of E/wood/Ilson/Sutton does not interest me at all. We have a saying with United LOVE UNITED HATE THE REST. same should be said with Heanor.. LOVE HEANOR HATE THE REST. |

Fair comment pebbs. I for one have just got back from STAFC, purely because certain people make me feel unwelcome at HTFC. I have always had respect for Brian, he’s a good laugh and has a pretty good knowledge of what’s going off. Just one thing that’s worrying me is that Brian has openly stated that certain players (robbie mawer, martin smith and danny roberts) have all played northern counties football, does that mean they aren’t good enough for NCEL now, is that why they are at Heanor Brian?
Want a spade for you other hand Mr Franks? Or are you happy digging your hand with just the one?
What will Jamie say when he realises you’ve been on t’internet, I didn’t think management were aloud, then again, Jamie promised SP and pebbs at the meeting that he would be more open… yeah ok! |

heanor red, u stated that heanor couldnt attract players from a higher standard, i simply disproved that statement, u now say that possibly they are no longer good enough, it seems i carnt win, only ur comments, not properly thought through make u unwelcome because sometimes this undermines what alot of hard working people are trying 2 achieve, hopefully u have now worked out that iam my own man and dont need telling if and when i post on this site..... up the snipes...ooops sorry wrong team , up the lions |

the reason i'm 'unwelcome' is down to the fact SOME people at the top don't like us paying fans expressing our views in any way.
we've known for a while you are your own man brian, good laugh too lol
just found the news report from the NLP on 5th august, reading that it seems that DB saved you and nathan your jobs. im certain nathan wont disagree.
the question is, whos gonna save yours and jamies when the results turn really bad.
quote from long eatons programme vs south normanton "despite brief success in the early rounds of the fa cup, chris and brian failed to acheive any consistancy and, after a run of poor results brian left the club"
all we hear is next season this and next season that. not neccesarily from you brian. the thing is, if we don't acheive anything this season the players will all go to see where the grass is greener. some already have. |
