In My opinion Bennett is getting rid of the bad apples and sorting things out. so what if kids going to america are coming through heanor if we can get a solid core of players and have new young players coming in each season then surely that benefits the club? Im keeping the faith lets watch this space!!!!!!!

Bennett for England! ive heard Derby are sniffing too!

Up the Lions!!!!!!

Well mike1 you talk about reality!! Ill give you the reality of Heanor Towns season so far, and I am not hiding behind any pen name unlike your brave self!!!

The reality is that at the end of September we had amassed 9 points from 10 games with a goal difference of -3.

During the following two months from the beginning of October to the end of November when, as you put it, the Management had "got rid of the bad apples" and brought in young players including Mat Timson at 32ish, we have accrued a further 8 points from 8 games wth a goal difference of 0. Hardly an improvement would you say and that is the reality of it 17 points from 18 games four places from the foot of the table and out of every other competition. A solid record for any Manager at any level do you think!! I dont think The Board at Derby or Mr Barwick at the FA, will be requesting CV's From our current Management team. Wink Wink

Fact is Fact when it comes to HTFC's results and not someones opinion!!!!!

Just as a matter of interest mike1, I would be interested to know, which of the former players do you considered to be "Bad Apples" or do you need to ask Jamie or Brian first!!

If your too shy to tell visitors to this site who they are then send me a private message and I will let evryone know:) Smile

seems ive hit a few raw nerves! not watched a load of games this season as i have a season ticket at forest with my grandson. dont deny the league doesnt read the greatest and im sure all the football hasnt been like being at the emarites stadium!!!!

so steve im not claiming to hide im just on here for banter i dont feel the need to be a big face like you! im not claiming to be bennetts biggest fan i refer to 'bad apples' on attitudes ive seen from previous games ive made it to and posts made on ths site from past players! to be honest ive seen so many players names in match reports in the heanor and ripley i couldnt put a face to them! but steve you seem very confrontational and passionate about this club so im sure you have had the balls to go and speak to the people that you have a problem with in person. Like you say you dont feel the need to hide who you are on this site!

anyway back to the fun filled banter 4 points from two games could be 7 from 3 by 5pm sat! things can only get better Laughing

I've got to agree, steve is passionate about seeing heanor go up. just never happens! he aint afraid to tell people what he thinks either.
John McCulloch will not leave heanor, it looks good on his cv. owner and chairman of a football club. thats the thing. its what american business want to see, with HIS company, not the 'other' one I'm not aloud to mention lol
We can all see talent in the team, just a lack of want. As blidworths keeper has said, he heard some young players on saturday saying they dont mind the result as long as they get there money. hope you don't mind me saying that 'teflon' lol I'm sure he won't deny it, although he didnt hear the whole conversation.

Enjoy the trip to appleby on saturday. I sure wont be going.

Mike1, I know Steve is passionate about the club and it's current demise. Last season when Mick Rogers and Mark Kelsey were in charge, on a number of occasions I witnessed him having conversations in the bar after matches, sometimes praising and other times with critical comments and dissagreement with the two of them. Having said that I am aware that Steve had the interest of the club at heart and I also know of at least one player he introduced to the club last season.

I understand that the difference this year stems firstly from the treatment of Danny Bryant, and I have to agree with him on that one, but more recently, I understand that people close to and within the club have been told not to speak to him!

i only shout through wanting to see the team succeed.
kimberley dont seem to mind lol sutton wouldnt either.

both clubs have a visible chairman, at every game, and staff that talk to supporters! spot the (obvious) difference

Well newshound thanks for your comments, yes I have also been told but others that I am not to be trusted and they should not talk to me. Mind you I have stopped buying raffle tickets so that could be the reason.

My comments are obviously getting to some people and rattling a few cages!! It is comforting to know that I have had support from a very good friend, close to the club, who has had the same instruction yet he is still speaking to me. I believe that what is concerning those at the top is they have no idea where my info comes from and they are unlikely to either.

If you look what I have posted on this site from the saga of the Changing Rooms to the comment about Paul Macfarland and the raffle tickets you will see that these are based on fact not gossip and no one at the club as ever denied that they are not true.

I have asked on many occasions pertinent questions about the running of the club and to date I have not received one reply either on the site or privately.

If these people would be more transparant with the running of the club instead of treating supporters like mushrooms (keeping them in the dark and feeding them on sh1t) then I believe that supporters would be more forthcoming with the assistance the are always talking about.

Finally newshound, although I thank you for your comments you know my thoughts on using your real ID on the site, perhaps next time you post it will be in you own name.

UP THE LIONS!!!!!!
