Some valid points have been brought up on the forum lately and to those people this is why we are replying. To those who feel the need to slander whilst your support of the team is appreciated some comments made on this site are not helping the current situation. I understand it must be frustrating but we are all trying our best to rectify this situation. If you expect us to reply when insulted understand that we are here on a voluntary basis and only have the best interests of the club. There are many managers that come and go with the intention to move up the managerial ladder. I as a past player can assure you i am in it for the long haul and determined to turn this round. I have built up a strong report with Brian and Jody and i can assure you we are working hard to change results. When i came to the club Brian was a gentleman and i now regard him as a trusted friend. Whilst i understand from the outside it may look like there has been a lot of upheaval in the dressing room this was for a reason. When i came to the club there was a lack of unity within the dressing room and so recent decisions were made to improve team spirit and bring the players closer together.
On the subject of players we have a lot of young players, this decision to go with youth was taken on the basis that we are building for the future. Myself and jody are both highly qualified coaches who have worked with some elite athletes in the USA many now playing at professional level. Brian brings a lot of experience to the team and has a good knowledge of this league and is highly respected by the players. Many of the young players are technically gifted but are having to adapt to the physicality in this league which i feel will improve with time. We are working towards improving results and are now training twice a week at a top facility.

Id ask that you dont pick holes in this statement and understand that i am trying to build a club for the future and any decisions right or wrong are done with the best interest of the club. I would also appreciate anyone who has suggestions or a problem to speak to me in person. Im happy to discuss any issue that will move the club forward. All associated with the club read this forum and people writing negative comments only creates problems for the people trying to move the club in the right direction.

We now have the domain rights for an official website heanortown.com. When completed hopefully we will be able to keep you up to date better with progress at the club. Until then please get behind us in creating stability this season, improving results and building for the future.

Many thanks

Jamie Bennett

Well Mr Bennett you have at last had the decency to reply and I say better late than never. I do not wish to pick holes in your post and thank you for your frankness. I, like most supporters, understand that you have the best intentions of the club at heart and would like to hear comments from you more often on this site.

One thing I would like your opinion ion s a post which a HTFC player or players has included on another site (see Mr Big) were supporters who have stated in no uncertain terms their dissatisfaction with the way things have panned out this season. Unfortunately it would appear that this player has trouble with the english language and refers to certain supporters in the type of language which should be left in the gutter.

I would like your comments on this article and what, if anything you propose to do about it?

Thanks for replying Jamie! Any chance this can be a more regular thing? People might have more respect for you if they actually hear what you have to say. Just an observation!

Not picking, wouldn't think of it!
The comment you made in referance to slanderous comments, IF that is aimed at anything I have said, either tell me face to face or through a pm on here, and I will gladly remove a comment, or, do me for slander!

I'm glad to see you have a vision for the club, tell us more! The only thing I can see going wrong is the website route, people are going to be happier an possibly more open with their views on the un-official website, and of course, this pretty damn amazing forum! (thanks Kip!)

I just want to see a change in fortunes for the club, wouldn't mind being able to go to a game without getting hit with a ban for no reason!

Best of Luck...

Just one request... If any official member of Heanor Town FC wants to ban me from games, I want it in writing and signed by every member of the committee. Legally you cannot ban me without complete agreement of all members of the committee. So yeah, in writing please, start date and end date aswell! Quite sure you cannot ban me though whilst I'm watching a team play at the fieldings!

Thanks Jamie, now we might start to understand things a little more. Agree with official web site, but don`t want this site to go. Now then seeing that you have replied to us the fans. May be the committee can do the same, by inviting two supporters to there meetings. Remember we are all the part of the club. Hope this not another false dawn. Rolling Eyes

I have a few reservations and therefore questions regarding an official site which, if what he says is true, will be clarified by Jamie, namely:

Why now after all this time does the club want to start a website? Who will "control" the site? Will there be a fans forum? if so, who will be the moderator? will there be regular input from the Management? What about Committee input?

Just a few ideas that have come top mind at the moment but I feel that is enough for JB to answer for now!

One thing that must stay is this ste as Paul Morley has done an excellent job up to now in controlling it fairly and it is also indipendent of any interference from the club!

Have you lost your tongue Mr Bennett or have you no comment for the supporters?
