How did we do?
I said we would get a decent set of results, I'm half right so far, 2 points off of Southwell in full flow is good.
Match Comments?
Man Of The Match?
Ref Performance?
Anyone want to have a go at describing todays game?
On another note, which I'm unsure myself about putting on here.
Not wanting to cause any unrest at all, but, if people who are like me and sad enough to check 'Dannys Diary' on STAFC's forum, they will have noticed......
"We are still on the lookout for a few more signings and I will be working hard to get us the elusive quick striker that we need. Both Carl and Matt have formed a good partnership up front and we need that third striker to give them competition and to give us another dimension. There are a few that spring to mind and one that I have had in the past, who is quick and has expressed a desire to come but we will have to see on that one. Watch this space."
He is after Richard Groves.
I'd put my life on it.
How many other strikers has 'he had' that are quick... he has only managed one team before, and tbh, he aint after Kev Davis! |

To be honest Red,it could have and should have been 3 points. If Chris Green hadnt have kept getting in the way wanting to take everything but the gate money we probably would have nicked it.One example being our number 3 who can throw a ball further than you and I can kick it being denied a chance to hurl the ball into the danger zone on a couple of occasions by Greenie who wasted good opportunities to put them under pressure by throwing the ball approx 2 metres to their players!!Ash should be taking all the throw ins near to the opposition box and Greenie could slot into his position and keep out of the way!!!His throw is as good as having a corner kick.Besides that we battled to the end and Jordan in my oppinion was man of the match for the lions.Keeper did well too. |

Only saw about half hour in the second half but it was abig improvement on blackwell !!
talking of blackwell this was on their forum heanorred -
The signing of local youngster Mark Brewster has paid dividend as he got the man of the match with a strong performance at Nettleham and his second goal in as many games after his debut goal v Heanor T on wednesday.
Seven days notice has gone in for a proven goalscorer hopefully he will be available for Saturdays visit to Holbrook
Richard groves again maybe ??? |

People who score goals in any level of the game will be on most wanted lists and at this level the name of Richard Groves will be up there.
It is dangerous to link anyone from Heanor with the likes of Sutton as there are correct channels regarding the signing players and Heanor-Reds comments can only inflame matters and are not helpful to any club!
As for the comments of Tricker12 he should have started a new thread titled "I dont rate Chris Green" or similar. Hasn't a good word to say about one of Heanor more established players whats that going to do for Greenies confidence. What about the player who gave the ball away in the middle of the park for their first goal and the second goal which came from a defensive error (no names) no! absolutely nothing. Instead of getting personal why dont you look at the overall picture where Heanor who had an indifferent first half, came out battling in the second half and deservably drew. I dont buy that we were the better side and in my opinion the draw was a fair result. There were no stars out there last Saturday. |

newshound, whoever you may be, i can tell you for a fact the STAFC are still interested in groves, even though we have had 7 days in for him from elsewhere.
these comments cant be damaging, just honest.
fans deserve to know whats going off.
some clubs choose not to share with the fans though!
i'm just glad heanor fans learn whats going off most of the time. |

We! Heanor_red We! Thats strong coming from a guy who is serving his second ban from the Town Ground in as many months!!
What you are saying is common knowledge and as, I put it in my last post, most clubs in CM league would be interested in signing Richard Groves. I understand that there is at least one club who has put 7 days in for him but to make the same statement in the same breath as talking about Sutton is inflamatory. I think you should put your very large spoon where it will fit!!! The Management at Sutton might be interested in signing Richard Groves but they know only too well that they can't approach him as that would get them into trouble with the League but there is nothing in the rules to stop him from approaching them! (Refererence Danny O'Donnell.) Do you understand where I am coming from? |

YAWN;)
No need for the essay pal.
At the end of the day, what has Mrs M banning me for NOTHING go to do with it all?
If anyone has came into contact with me since the Dunkirk game back in August... 3 months ago;)... then you will see that I have calmed down, or tried to.
Come and introduce yourself next time you see me, I'd like to know who it is who criticises everything I say and do... |
