Following my announcement that I was offered the Heanor Town First Team Manager's position (which was a decision taken by the Chairman last night and witnessed by my Management Team/players) I have been told that the appointment must now be 'ratified' at a emergency committee meeting, at which, I am reliably informed I will receive only one vote. The other votes I am led to believe will be given to Jamie Bennett of 'Sportsed'.

With this in mind, knowing I am not wanted, I am basically being forced out of the club against my will and regrettably I will have no alternative other than to offer my resignation after the match against Mickleover Sports tomorrow, which I am told will be accepted.

Can I ask that you come along, give the players your full support and get behind the team that, believe me, really want to play for you. I have taken the decision to play this game so that the people that matter can see a decent game and do not miss out.

I am sorry to have to put this post on the forum before the game but I will be instructing the lads to run their hearts out for you and I.

I would like to thank all the fans associated with Heanor Town FC - and maybe we could one day join forces and have a AFC Heanor ran by true fans perhaps?

I have and would have given my heart and soul for this club and have worked really hard the past few months getting a young reserve team and youth structure set up and developing those players at the club who have real potential and which was 'untapped', and turning them into first team players capable of this league and above. These players are a credit to themselves and you as fans and I would like to have my last say by saying 'well done' to all the lads at the club...bye.

THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR WITHOUT SOMETHING BEING SAID. JAMIE BENNETT HEANOR TOWN FC DO NO WANT YOU TO RUN THE CLUB. I DOUBT IF THE COMMITTEE HAVE HEARD BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY, THIS CLUB IS BEING TURNED INOT A LAUGHING STOCK DOWN TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE A FEW QUID OUT OF US, I THINK THE COMMITTEE WANT TO SERIOUSLY THINK OF RESIGNING. LET THE FANS RUN IT, WE'D DO A BETTER JOB. GET REAL MCCULOCH!

It could only happen at Heanor Town FC. Manager resigns, Manager reinstated, Secretary resigns Manager re-resigns, if there is such a term, all in twenty four hours!! If it was a TV show it would get rave reviews as a FARCE because that is what it has ended up as.

Having witnessed at first hand on a number of occasions the voting of the committee reminded me of a pack of sheep, the leader makes a decision and the rest follow.

Might I ask one question of Jamie Bennett, who played for the Lions a few years ago and was so impressive that few supporters will remember him, what experience as he had in Management let alone Football Management?

I await your reply with interest!

I have voted in the poll regarding the position of the Chairman and The Treasurer A.K.A (the raffle woman) and I dont have to tell you which way my vote went.

To put it in local speak Eileen & John, SOD OFF!!!

WE the fans pay the bloody gate money, but have never known whats going on at our club, Always kept in the dark. Danny comes along and communicates with the fans via these pages, which is what we want as fans, to be kept informed. So let me make a suggestion maybe Mr Mac or someone could stand up and tell us, what the hells going on. Until that day comes us, supporters ARE NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY. So to sum up, today the supporters will be 100% behind Danny and his team. If the Club put Jamie in charge and don't tell us whats going on, Then Heanor just might have a bigger problem on there hands, THE SUPPORTERS.

The supporters of this club need to know about players, player selections for games etc, we have not really had much of this in the past so it was a welcomed surprise to see Danny putting up many posts on the forum regarding this.. After the game v Pinxton i noticed Danny made his players applaud the supporters at the final whistle, when have we ever had that??? The guy is easily likeable, hard working and totally committed to the cause, i for one will be at the game today and will be behind Danny, Nathan and Brian, lets show these guys how much we want them at Heanor..

It can be guaranteed that none of the committee will turn up today. Anyone who read this, take to the pitch at half time this afternoon. Just do it, there will be footballs about, lets see if Mrs M will dare to ask them fans in the bottom goal to get off the pitch;)

JUST COME ON THE FIELD, THE MANAGEMENT NOT MIND

I am totally proud of every single Heanor Town player. I am sure you will agree they did US all proud today with a battling performance against a side two leagues above us and who won the NCEL Cup. At the end I felt entirely sad but proud and the lads would like to thank you all for your support.

I am sure the committee will announce their decision this week as to who will be the first team manager. I doubt that it will be me even though I have a 100% record in management.....

Right guys, those of us who have stood up for Danny and crew, do we strongly enough to really go for this one? Few options... all been mentioned by others, i'm just the one whos gonna suggest them publicly.

Could be boycott the first home game of the season? See if the club can pay for ref's fees and that so happily with a SERIOUS loss of income.

At the start of every game, home or away, just chant theres "only one danny bryant", that'l make 'whoever' is manager think twice.

not much else we can do though... any more suggestions would be wikid. We could always take to the pitch at a game, OTT but the club would be a battering for it, not us.

I've been away for a week, so imagine my surprise at having a catch up on results etc. Crying or Very sad
Without both sides of a story I'm always reluctant to condemn, and as I've previously been privvy to information about what the comittee has been trying to do I've always adopted a somewhat defensive situation without giving out information that it's not my place to give, but even I'm finding the situation incredible. Everyone who's seen, heard or been told anything about Danny and his team have nothing but praise for their commitment, knowledge and enthusiasm, I cannot believe that here we are again at the start of another season with utter chaos. Whatever Jamie Bennet has promised, offered or given, there is absolutely no excuse for the timing, and poor treatment apparently metered out. The only area I would disagree with Steve's post is that Jamie Bennet (pre-going to America) was a very good central defender in the championship season, he did however play a couple of games for the Lion's again whilst in this country a couple of years ago, and whatever he was learning in the states it wasn't football (or should I say soccer?) because he'd completely lost whatever it was he had previously.
Having witnessed one of Danny's early pre-season training sessions it was obvious that commitment organisation and discipline formed the basis of his football thinking, what a shame therefore that this is not obviously forthcoming in any other area of the club.
I am not one for demonstrations, particularly against people who perform tasks and give time unpaid for what they see as being in the club's interest I do however feel that the comittee need to listen to the majority and re-instate Danny or come out and state their vision for the club and reasons as they see it, because the club may as well not exist at all with an unhappy comittee, unhappy players and unhappy supporters. This can only end in tears I fear.

Danny and I go back 6 or 7 seasons - I was the original "publisher" of Danny's Diary on the Eastwood Town website.

To put it bluntly, Danny may not have had much management experience, but someone who played under Bryan Chambers for 9 years has had to have learned a thing or two about football club management.

A class keeper and an all round gentleman, Danny is still well respected and fondly remembered by the fans at Coronation Park, and even if he is not given the job at HTFC, he will be a great capture for someone else in the very near future..

I haven't got a clue what's going on but it's a shocking way to treat someone, especially after all the good work Danny and his team have been doing to prepare Heanor for the coming season.

The way this has been handled is a shambles and makes the club look like a pub team.

Another nail in the coffin of a once proud football team.

Sorry Pheasant did not see Jamie play during his first spell with the club but during the spell he had in Billy Fosseys days he was, and being kind to the fella, very average, and that was enough for me.

I have heard, from a relable source, that there might be some kind of money coming into the club and some sort of deal with the exchange of acadamy type players coming from the USA.

If that is the case, it sounds a bit like the Gleeson saga but that was youngsters from the Sheffield area, and we don't want reminding how that ended up.

Me, I won't be going to any home matches whilst this Committee are in charge and will be supporting The Lions at away games only.
