I have just been offered the Manager's job on a permanent basis and have accepted - there are a few administrative things still to sort out but hopefully these will be agreed. I have now set an example to those players that have not signed for us yet by showing my commitment to the Lions in a very difficult situation. I am now in total charge of first team affairs. I would like to thank the fans for all their support - you are wonderful. I hold Heanor Town dear to my heart and would like to do a good job for everyone. Nathan and Brian remain also as the management team.

On another issue Michael Knibbs does a great deal of work for us ALL behind the scenes and we do owe him a great deal of thanks.

I will definately now need your help and support by raising a few bob to help the lads get tracksuits etc...Can someone please take this on to get us some? The sponsor a players funds need to be collected and tracksuits bought in time for the new season.

Finally, lets have a roar tomorrow when the lads run out they are so proud to play for Heanor and it will be a difficult game for us against a very good team.

COME ON THE LIONS!!

Great news Danny, I'm sure you will get the support from the terraces you deserve and lets hope you are as successful as a manager as you were as a keeper. Sorry to put you on the scrap heap but I'm sure you would make an excellent stand-in!

Just to add to your comment regarding Mike Knibbs, he is a top guy and a true Heanor Supporter. It is sad that at the presentation evening the lack of a "thank you" or even an aknowledgement of his hard work from the Chairman did not go un-noticed by both players and supporters alike.

Can we expect anything simple from the chairman from now on? Doubt it! Congratulations to Danny, nathan and brian too. Cracking management team, all got the same aims, and i'm more than happy to help them with anything throughout the season. A cracking support tommorrow will show the management just how much we want them to succeed. UP THE LIONS!

Just a note to say, on 24/7 sportsed registered on this forum. I'm proud to say hes seen all thats been said, and the fact there is unrest down to his appointment. sportsed is Jamie Bennett. Confidence in joining a club... is that why he didnt use his own name Rolling Eyes , just the name of the company that is going to send half our young players to the US. There we go. i've said what most have been thinking. Danny, Nathan and Brian are going to make an amazing and hopefully successful management team, three men is enough. Twisted Evil

Tomorrows game could be tough but our lads will no doubt put on a battling performance. Exclamation Exclamation UP THE LIONS Exclamation Exclamation
