On behalf of the reserves I just wanted to thank everyone for their hard work in organising and financing the presentation night yesterday. Whilst only being at the club a short time I think the awards given out to players, officials and volunteers were totally deserved. Well done to everyone.

It was also nice to get to chat to a few people and introduce ourselves. A few supporters suggested that the club hold a 'fans forum night' followed by a club quiz and I think that is a great idea.

It was also suggested that a Heanor Town XI play the supporters in a friendly. Again, I think this is another good idea and can I suggest we use this to raise some funds for charity? How about getting these events organised for July?

If people are interested in these ideas maybe we can use this forum to express our interest and take them forward?

Looks good. Any of you other fans want to join in?

As for the presentation night, hopefully someone might correct me or put up a full listing, but, if I remember correctly, for the Reserves:

Andy Elks - Chairman's Special Award
Richard Elks - Player's Player
Matt Vincent - Manager's Player

Is this right?

Well, if Chris qualifies then Danny should also. With Danny in goal!! Chris at the heart of the defence, Heanor-Red giving it his usual verbal from mid-field and Brett (with or without glasses), Paul and co across the front line all we need is a couple of quality bodies to assist red in midfield and its "game over" chaps whoever they have as "manager"!!!!!!

What do you say Kip, I say "Bring em on"

Up the Lions old and young!!!

Yeah i agree Steve "bring em on", this team's gonna be fearless, hard as nails and brimming with confidence, Heanor-Red being the key player for me, its gonna be a blast...
