I can confirm, having spoken to Mick and Mark shortly after the end of Saturdays match that they had both resigned their respective positions and had already informed those members of the committee, who were present at the match, of their decisions.

I am sure they will both tell us in their own time the reasons for their decisions.

Although the Lions have not had the best of seasons it must not go unnoticed that they have been the only management team in the last ten or so years to have won anything.

I am sure we will all wish them the best for the future.

As I said to the two of them they had done well to complete a full season as not many managers at the town ground have achieved that over the last ten years.

I am also informed that they will both be at the presentation evening this friday at the town ground, you might find out their respective reasons for leaving.

As for hearing it from the committee superman, you will probable have had to wait for the beginning of next season for a statement when the chairman returns from his travels!
