Anyone got any pre or post match thoughts on tonights game?

I hope the players come out showing a bit more spirit than at Dunkirk or we might get well and truly stuffed.(For those who don't know Barton put 3 past Cliptone MW on Sturday)

I think good all round vocal encouragement is a must.

Up the Lions :D :D

I think that's unfair on the players who turned out, to a man they gave their all and the final scoreline flattered Barton. We gave them a good game for the first 70 minutes and had the better chances but the unfortunate sending off of Tom killed us.

I take your point about '12 men', at any time of the season at this level it is unacceptable. I wonder how many will turn up for the return match in a couple of weeks? Might take my boots, you never know I could get on the bench with Kelsey!!

I didn't count them but I am sure Barton had a full compliment of players.

See you all at Blackwell on Saturday

Up the Lions!!!

cant be at the game Saturday but lets keep the pressure on winning the last few games.Ref Giz i understand what everybody has said but other players have done it before him and i dont think he will be the last.We have to take all the players at their word.It may happen again next year but we i am afraid have to live with it.Giz is a player that he plays with his heart on his sleeve but refs dont give him the benefit of the doubt unless you are 4ft tall and probably come from Pelican or Barton or Clipston and we know how certain refs take control differently of games they do on a Saturday.i need to see Giz at the town ground next season.

serious point guys, it isnt worth travelling, with what i have come across tonight, which unfortunatly i cant put into public knowledge. we're going to be extremely weakened, and yes steve pinegar, take your boots my son, your better than whats going to be there. good luck all the same, theres going to be 7 reserves out of a 14 man squad, whats the point! for anyone that is interested, reserves training at kimberley leisure centre, on the grass round the back, 7 30 every thursday night, even during close season, come along and have a laugh!

Regulars who played were: Hill, Davies, Travis, Biggs, Widdison, Fowkes, Roffey, Nicholls, Perry. "Ash" and Marv."(??) made the team up and we had a full bench of young players whose names I didn`t know. We played well in parts but were well beaten in the end.
Got to say congrats to Barton, things are happening up there, the ground was a revelation. Seem to have picked up a hundred or so supporters along the way as well!!

Couldn't agree with you more Brett about the Barton ground improvements, fantistic what they have achieved already with more to come. See what you can do in twelve months with some hard work and the drive from those in charge. Shame we havn't got that sort of drive and comitment around the Town Ground!!

Keep looking through those rose tinted glasses Brett you never know what might happen!
