For those who were unable to get to the match, the Lions won 5 - 3.
Goal scorers: Ben Roffey, Adam Nicholls 2 (1pen), Chris Davis & Tom Widdison.

Well Done you guys, a long time coming but it's great to have won something.

WELL DONE TO ALL MANAGEMENT, PINK SOCKS, AND PLAYERS!!!
Excellent day yesterday, still recovering, voice gone though!
Thought we played some excellent football although a couple of the players didnt seem up for it and are more than capable of playing much better than they did.
The referee and his sidekick as always tried to ruin a good game of football and in my opinion didnt think any of the 3 penalties given were penalties.
I have to agree with others, dont think Adam deserved MOM, although he played ok, i know he is capable of alot more and thought the award should have gone to Graeme Fowkes he played his socks off and battled throughout the whole game.
My only wish for next season is that the minority of supporters would start to praise there team instead of putting them down all the time, Yes you are entitled to your say but why is it when we win you NEVER sing there praises but moan about little mistakes made or standard of play
For Godsake we won 5-3 and our first silverware for years and instead of celebrating we moan about not playing well.
WHY!

Sorry Graeme, shouldn't forget a goal from those "white boots" should I? I got carried away with the occasion like everyone else and it was 11.30 Sunday night. I will buy you a pint at Barton to make up for it.

Just for the record I thought it was the best goal of the match!

Great day, great result.

Just want to thank all the support at this game. You were absolutely fantastic. Really chuffed we could provide something to cheer about at last. This has been a long hard season and I realise we haven't exactly excited the fans this year but this is a platform.
I thought we thoroughly deserved the honours. The referee was terrible. The penalty decisisions against us were never penelties. Having said that I thought we deserved to be losing at half time, they were the better side. In the second the lads made all the chances, our defense looked far more solid and the flair players found space to create. Great game, really enjoyed myself and once again you were great.
