I see that Mr Hayward has 'left' Gedling Town after they got knocked out of the Vase. He got sent off along with two of his players. They've installed James Jepson as caretaker so i guess that Andy Freeman has left too.

Wonder if any of last year's players who are still there - Chris Davis, Vickerton and Widdowson will fancy returning to the Lions?

Wonder which huge club will be coming in for him, after all he's stated that he can't bring himself to manage at CMFL level and obviously has a high opinion of his considerable talents. Ilkeston, Alfreton, West Ham ....

Nice to see that Gedling bowed out of the Vase losing 2-0 at home in front of the smallest crowd in the round of 61 ( YES I SAID SIXTY ONE ! ) paying spectators.

Hasn't the manager come a long way since his days in charge at Greenwood Meadows, where even they could command a gate in excess of the Sixty mark. AT LEAST FOR ONE HOME MATCH EACH SEASON v THE TOWN !!!!!!

I am sure that all Heanor supporters wish the Management duo of Gedling Town all the best for the future, and hope we don't see them back on the Town Ground.

UP THE LIONS !!!!

it's sad that you don't want to see andy f back at the town ground after him doing such a great job for heanor town last season.Andy had already left gedling a month before due to work commitments and his son playing football

it certainly is not sad the fact we dont want andy back at the town ground, whoever you are guest, it seems you are unhappy with the work is Mick Rogers and Co. we are looking very strong this season and to be honest i dont think anyone wants a change apart from a few cantankerous old gits whos hate everything that happens at the town ground. the squad and style of play we have adopted are suited to Mick, no other manager. but then again, we do need a reserve manager!
