Lost 4.2. good support from Heanor.. but we where poor again last night. The two subs that came on gives me a little hope for the future. May be just may be if a couple of players had not jumped Ship, then we might be at the right end of the table. Confidence is low in the team, we must try and turn this around. I'm not going to blame the management, because like I've said two of our better players jumped ship. Alidd Biggs was man of the match, for us. Apart from Stevenson, the rest of the players need to look at that performance, and start playing for the SHIRT. I still believe some of these players are still good enough for this team. So lads Please help us get out of this mess, and don't take the easy way out by jumping ship. Embarassed

I thought vinnie did ok last night even though he is more suited to the middle of the park ! even at 3-1 down i thought you could still of got something out of last nights game going down the slope in the second half !
Having watched last nights game and a few other games this season its become very clear that you are not playing to your strengths in very short spells last night you did and funnily enough it made you look half decent but i ithink that was by accident rather than instruction because the heanor dugout was very quiet almost lifeless in the second half.
In my opinion on that performance heanor are 2-3 players short of being competitive consistently in this league !
Will get the second half saturday i wouldn't like to predict a score because i suppose it depends which heanor turn up.
good luck always nice to see southwell lose!!

I think I can sum up what the first two posts are trying to say "NOT GOOD ENOUGH" wherever you want to pitch the blame! Remember that the team Heanor lost to last night was missing 5 first team regulars, that is according to their Manager. If it aint the Management or the Players who is responsible for the demise of this once proud and respected club?

In this current run of form I dread to think what will happen in the next two league games against Southwell and Askern, maybe something might have happened by then!! Wink Wink

The only thing certain for those games is that the team will get "the best support in the league"!!!!!!!!

I honestly can't see why people are writing us off for the next 2 games.
Stevo playing right back is obviously working at the mo, Aled is always consistant at left back... Jordans not bad in the middle either as for Nathan, no comment lol only jokin. Belly is top notch between the sticks.
Midfield just needs a rebalance and some consistancy with places and them lads will be back on fighting form.
As for the forwards... Grovesy is on form aint he lol Pete Cassidy is an exciting prospect, just wait for marv back.

We held askern in at there place really well, losing to a fortunate goal for them. Surely we can all remember that... jamie belshaws first game for us, with all the dogs on the pitch. We pulled off a performance like that then, we can do it now.
as for southwell, just keep pressure on, thats all we need to do. they crack under pressure, as its been proven.

We need to go into these games with the right attitude. Both fans and players. If we don't believe it, it wont happen. I just hope this can be reiterated in the changing rooms before the game. Heanor Town FC are a sleeping giant, over the next month or so we WILL become a force, i'd put money on it if i had any!

UP THE LIONS!!

O yeah! I've been hit with another ban from the club :s for helping out the reserve guys by running the line for them! I behaved too! but yeah, shes hit me with a month ban from the clb supposedly :s
There could be a book written by our committee, 10 easy steps to lose fans.
Would be a best seller round heanor way im sure!

Red, didn't see you there last night (not getting at you for that) but if you had been you would have understood what the previous post meant. We were out battled by a bunch of guys who appeared, as a whole, to want victory more than Heanor players although individulaay they were probably no better players, others may argue that point.

Players playing out of position although Aled in his uncustomary role on the left wing scored a fine goal!!! but overall we lacked that edge and lost out in too many 50/50 situations and committing the cardinal sin of giving the ball away too often.

Ass you know I don't name individual players but last night too many were "off their game".

Unfortunately, I have to agree with newshound regarding what is likely to happen in the next two fixtures but I hope I am proven wrong.

Finally Red, I am sorry to hear that you have had "another brush with the powers that be" in the club but remember, "every dog has his/her day"! and also remember you have been to more games than the Chairman has this season despite your two bans!!!!!!!

Up The Lions!!!!!!

To be honest Steve, I can understand what happened last night, and yes I was following reserves, couldnt get to blackwell on my ped lol!
Fair comment too about how many games the chairmans been to. The question is, how many games have the rest of the committee see? They're happy with there backwell slice and tea in the cowshed!

Ah well, I'm not about for a few weeks but will be keeping an eager eye on Heanor's cracking results that are coming!

If it ain't the Management or the Players who is responsible for the demise of this once proud and respected club?. Cracking Question Newshound. We can all point the finger at ???..,but i think its important for this TEAM to get us out of this mess. At the start of the season Danny took over, my belief was things where on the up. That did not work out, so the current management team are in place, Looks bleak at the moment, but then again!, maybe things are happening behind the scenes, that are looking good for the club. Not there Saturday..MUFC again, but would hope all Heanor fans do get behind the team.. Is there Light at the end of the tunnel?.. FINGERS CROSSED Confused
