what the hell was THAT ref playing at. rolls royce players found that they were not going to give a free kick away no matter what they did. how the heck a player can can get smacked in the face twice and get a yellow card for complaining about it just makes me laugh. then just to top it off he lets another player get away with a blatant stamp. i will say this to MR BIRD and i hope you read it, reffing games in this way will lead to some player ending up in hospital, after a game like this you should never be allowed near a whistle again. the crowd complained to the linesman who said " he can't be expected to see everything" well what the hell is he there for then?. I know we are not in the football league but surely we can get refs and linesmen with a total average age of less than 180.

I was at that match and the refereeing standard was not good but it is not all his fault. He got no help whatsoever from his assistants as they never flagged for a foul. For the blatant stamp, the linesman was on the otherside of the pitch and the ref was not looking. It is difficult for a ref at this level to see everything happening in the game. However, i agree they can improve and surely should be younger and fitter so that they can keep up with play.
