Got to say, hunting around football.mitoo on the leagues section, I'm surprised at the facts that you find.
Heanor have won four out of the last five, three of them coming at home though. Almost fortress standard.
Five wins in last eight, with one draw (needless to say the draw came against a team not dissimilar to Heanor)
The two defeats being against Holbrook, in a local derby, some good football played but the christmas pudding showing with energy, and against Forest Town, 20 wins out of 26, +55 goal difference, sorry to say we hadnt much of a chance in goal scoring stakes.
The defeats in the last eight were half expected, Holbrook being the bogey team and Forest Town flying high. Wins against Appleby, Hatfield, Greenwood, Clipstone, Prims and now battling Dunkirk.
Strong midfield displays seem to be the basis of these wins. Jack Reid has alot to take credit for at the minute, constant running and seems to have great awareness. For me at this point of the season, having not seen as many games as usual by this point, Aled Biggs for fans player of the season and Jack Reid for fans young player of the season. Lets see how the awards go at the end of season
Jamie, Brian, got to say, keep this up and it might turn into a good end of season, especially with the building work coming on too.
SHOULD be a win next saturday Vs Rolls. Week after Heanor entertain Blackwell (who dunkirk beat in the week 2-0) hopefully we will end with maximum points, could be an interesting result though! Week after Lions are away to Radford, never an easy ground to visit, but we have the win in the home game against them.
Next 3 games, 7 points? (3 points vs Rolls, and then a win and draw against the other two, dont mind which way!)
If this goes to plan, unbeaten in 6.
UP THE LIONS
(I'm off to put the anorak away)
