It is with regret that following the events of the last few days I feel that I can no longer continue as Secretary of Heanor Town Football Club. As a consequence I have informed the Club that I am resigning my position.

Thank you to those who have given support and words of encouragement during my time in the role.

I will be re-joining you all on the terraces, starting off at South Normanton on Saturday (as I've still got the kit to bring)

Michael,

You are a lovely bloke and a true fan. I personally would like to thank you for putting up with me the last few months but during that time you have taught me a great deal about the administration side of management and have been someone that I could totally rely on.

It has been said that "Danny Bryant was turning the club around" etc, etc well I would like to say to the Heanor Town fans that Michael is a legend and without him I would not have done as much as I did. He will be a much bigger loss to the club then I ever will or could be. It is a truely sad day for Heanor Town FC.

You never got much in the way of thank you's, so here it is "THANK YOU" Michael Knibbs.

Danny

I agree with you entirely Danny every club needs a Mike Knibbs to survive and without the likes of him around the club will not be the same.

He carried out the job with little or no recognition for all the time and hard work he has put in. As I have said in an earlier post it is the committee that should be considering their positions!

Good luck Mike!!!!!!

What a shame... I'v got alot of respect for the management team, all 3 of them, but I'v known mike for a few seasons now and know he has done SO much for HTFC. He is a legend in his own right, as said by Danny Bryant, i think at final whistle today both the management and Mike need applauding... if the fans are up for it. A pitch invasion wouldnt be too mad for this occasion either, but only when we're not playing! Glad to see Mike is going to stay as one of the faithful. Shows his personality and love for the club. Can the supporters club call an open meeting soon, give it till the end of the season, with the right people pushing for it, the fans could buy JM out. There is alot more support for this team than is sometimes known. All I can say is, if we get to the final of this tournament, and if Jamie Bennett is in charge, I ask the players not to show. There is no unity left in this club, apart from the players and fans. The 'manager' who will be installed on monday, tenner on it, and the committee are neither liked nor wanted at HTFC. Get Rid.
