Today I have handed in my resignation to the Club following an internal disagreement. I apologise to the fans and players that I have brought to the club. My aim was to build a young team that was capable of developing and providing the fans with a little bit of joy. The management team that I had installed of Nathan and Brian have worked very hard and I couldn't see how Jamie Bennett would fit into a 'four team management structure'.
For those that don't know Jamie, he was last week appointed Blidworth Welfare Under 19 Manager and I am unsure what position or role Heanor Town want Jamie to play and whether his role at the club would be combined with his role at Blidworth. It seems an unusual situation to me? I felt that we were moving in the right direction and the players, management and fans were trying to sort this club out. Therefore, following certain developments tonight at the club, in relation to Jamie's position, I have handed my resignation in and await to hear whether this has been accepted or not.
