Kip,
Looks like a full squad to pick from plus more besides and looking at their posts they can all "talk the talk" lets hope they can all "walk the walk" Mind you looking at the potentian in there I can't see a weakness.
Problem is it might put the lions new manager off if he sees the footballing skills available on the terraces.
What do you think Red?

sorry steve, i dont quite see how i come into this! apart from working on my skills in training tonight i'm going to be just as bad as anyone else! u wana be waterboy steve? Laughing gotta say thanks to danny and tony from reserves for welcoming me into training etc really good work out at tonights training, skill feeling the pain now! this game seems like a really cool idea to maybe raise some cash, but, club funds, or charity. if charity can i suggest PASIC (Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children) based on ward E38 of QMC, the childrens cancer ward. think about it, will the club really need the money raised? or do we want to show the club has a heart and help some REALLY ill kids out........ i'l leave it at that.

Can I suggest that we have some sort of pre-game kick about.
I confess I have been on a rigourous fatness regime for the past few years so stamina should not be an issue (as long as it's continuous pie eating). It's just a skill issue, like my hair, I once had a fair bit of it but now it's gone.

My days as "water boy" ended some time ago Red, nackered Knees you know. It is good to see you are training with the reserves on Thursdays by the time the match comes around you will be as fit as a fiddle.

New volunteers almost by the day I think one or two fancy their chances!

As I said earlier with you in the centre of midfield and a couple more talanted supporters either side, Chris in the centre of defence and Danny between the sticks, not to mention the front line, they will have NO CHANCE!!!!

With the addition of Pheasent, Red and midfield maestro Ticker 12 the supporters team goes from strength to strength.. I suggest me and Pheasent to lead the attack, Red, Brett, Dave and the truly awesome play maker Ticker 12 in the middle, Super Sealey, Paddy and Dave Mitchell at the back, just need a keeper and a few more quality supporters/players and its game set & match.... Laughing I agree with Pheasent tho, a kick about before the main event is a must...

suggestion for kickabout is, meet same time as reserves train at kimberly leisure centre. the field out the back is massive, and i'm sure if we ask nicely danny b might be able to lend us 2 or 3 footballs. if people can say on here if they can go it might be on for next week yeh?

Looks like the fans are all sorted out then with their team?

Next step is to arrange a suitable date and venue - The Town Ground has restrictions until September I believe. Where can this 'training game' go ahead? What dates are people available? Some players won't be reporting back until 27 June 2007; when pre-sesason starts. Although we can knock up a team from those attending training currently, if you all want to go ahead as soon as. It would be nice to make it a family occasion and get as many people and children down as possible and get a raffle, food, photographs etc.

Is there anyone in the Heanor Town Supporters Club who can take this forward?

i'm not local so i have no idea (some would say thats nothing new) but, cant we book a council pitch somewhere in heanor? it would only take a simple phone call. as for food, no sure quite how that would be done unless we have a portable gas BBQ and someone willing to crucify sausages and burgers until theyre edible. Danny, i'm sure it would be good to have the current training guys in for a game against the fans, it would bring a chance for the 'fans' to see what theyre all about. we could put the word out to some of th first teamers who are definitely staying, and see if they're up for it, even though we dont know whos staying yet! If we go Fans Vs Reserves then one of the reserve coaches can take charge of them for the game, as Danny B is going to be our keeper. does having a ref really matter? any ideas?

ryt, we have a team, strong one at that, my ideal line up will be at the bottom... can we meet this thursday for a training session? anyone who is free, just drop a note on here, i'l be there anyway, you might be lucky enough for me to lead it! Steve Pinegar, any chance with your vast knowledge you could find us a decent pitch local to Heanor? (a council pitch that is!) Danny Bryant, can you put a team together from your reserves quickly if needs be? We need a date, and a venue, and maybe some press coverage. can the club lend us 2 kits for the game? little things that would make this a great day. why not incorporate this into a saturday, have a 2 o'clock kick and then back to the ground for drinks and food? WHAT WE REALLY NEED IS SOMEONE TO TAKE CHARGE! Paul you up for it, seems your the most pro-active supporter... if people can try and answer these it would be helpful! and now after my rant, heres my team

GK DANNY BRYANT

RB PADDY
RCB DAVE MITCHELL
LCB SEALEY (capt?)
LB MICK CLAXTON

RM/LM THE HARTS
RCM TICKER 12
LCM THE UNBEATABLE RED!

RCF PAUL MORLEY
LCF PLUCKER

BENCH: ANY1 ELSE WHO TURNS UP... UNLESS THEYRE BETTER THAN ME THEN I'L GLADY DROP TO THE BENCH!

any thoughts?

Contrary to your belief Red but I do not have a lot of knowledge re footy pitches that might be available, well at least capable of holding the expected crowd for such a match. As Wembley will not be available, Heanor Welfare, Lockton Avenue or Charles Hill, Loscoe might be suitable alternatives, the latter two owned by AVDC they might fit the bill.

I have a contact at AVDC and a friend has a contact with AVDC & HW.

Sorry been away from the forum for a few days, right, can't make training!!! this week but am definitely available next.
Striker!! I think you will all change your minds when you witness my dazzling pace and realise I'm much better suited to left wing Laughing

Seriously, whilst it's good to have an idea of some sort of lineup, it may be better to finalise after a couple of sessions.
Right Red, which chip shop do we go to after training!! and will we all get expenses?
Can we also guarantee that the manager will be with us next season if it's an ongoing event Wink

Paul,
Bogey doesn't have access to the internet other than at work (and he can't log in) but he's asked me to put his name forward as left back (probably in the changing rooms).
I feel we may also need a few subs unless it's 10 minutes each way (in which case I may just last out!)
