Rodgers can always be found in asterdale bar twenty mins after a game, Kelsey who got all the players is on his way shortly, Normanton flying high with no more money than us a league higher, the best local managers slipped through our fingers because they were not made welcome. Dissaster for Heanor

Has Mr Rogers got a helicopter?
I don't think I've ever seen him do anything other than walk off the pitch at the end, so does this mean that our "fan" may be slightly out with his predictions or is this the end for us all !!!

Wrist slashers have been quiet for a while, thank god at least one is alive and well! Very Happy

Firstly i'd like to put right any rumours suggesting Kelsey will be leaving Heanor Town. I've know him for many years, as Mick Rogers and can honestly say I expect him to see his job through successfully as in previous management posts.
I see a Heanor football club steadily progressing under this management team and bascically building for next season having started off very slowly due to the departure of much of last years team.
These managers have pedigree believe me and will do us proud.
I think it must be very difficult to attract players to Heanor Town when we cannot get promoted due to ground issues!!! And with one of the lowest budgets for players in our league!!!
Incidentally, S.Normantons budget is quadruple that of Heanor Town!!!
Lets get our fantastic support behind them. We have no let slip any managers better than these believe me.

Just to put your fact in order South Normantons budget is not even double Heanors, and that is fact...? as i could tell you both budgets to the penny, although why you have to attack a local club minding there own buissness is of concern to me... worry about heanor not others

A former player who is always interested in Heanor. A club that should and must move forward. I hope you do, just don't attack other clubs whilst doing it.

No one is attacking S.Normanton. It's just you attacking Heanor Town.
You're so called facts about budgets are wrong by the way. That is not an attack.

S.Normanton management team are excellent. So is Heanors. It's just two different clubs in different leagues.
Support Heanor if that's your number one team. Don't knock them.

my facts about the budget are correct, no question. i came onto the forum after being told about this thread, just to read it. don't know were it was started or by who, but i do know both budgets and love both teams. Played five years for Kelsey who is a great manager and personal friend and wish him and heanor well. False comments about other teams budgets helps no one. I also passed Giz Number onto Kelsey, when we decided to let him go, to try and help. all the best for season please don't bother replying, i won't be continuing the tennis.....m.harvey

Game Set and Match to Mr Harvey methinks!!

All in all the debate started as the Management team leaving, I'm sure no-one wants to see that, but ultimately the club would get another (as good or not is a different kettle of fish) and would then probably need to get another batch of players etc.

The top and bottom of it, is that until our wonderful local council stop moving the goalposts (no pun intended) we will never know if the committee or club, want to or can move forward. I enjoy watching the Town whenever I can, but I would enjoy it no matter what level they play at, it is sad however to think that the club's potential may never be realised, but then again that's the story for so many aspects of our lives.

Up the Lion's,
PS, I've just depressed myself so much I'm thinking of writing a regular column in"The News".

Very Happy
