I completley agree about the moaners all they do is criticise the players and never once have i heard them praise them. Take Trav for example he never ever has a bad game and is consistantly the back bone of our defence who never puts a foot wrong and i remember earlier this season when he scored a own goal and 'the moaners' were on his back all the match whereas the true loyal supporters gave him encouragement to regain his confidence and true to form he did and hasnt put a foot wrong since and although he has carried on playing extremley well you dont hear 'the moaners' praise him just criticising the next unfortunate player.
So i again plead like david to stop the moaning and start encouraging. |

davehart, I have been watching the Lions for over 10 years, admittadly not much this last season but in that time of good and bad results including that great run in the Vase, there has always been the two or three groups of moaners who start if Heanor are not 4 goals to the good in the first quater of an hour. I think they have a meeting before each match to choose who will be the player to pick on today or as they would put it "The Man of The Match"!!
You hear of one or two, who through the fullness of time, have gone to watch a game in that great big Town Ground in the sky and you think ah! well sorry to see them go but thats one less moaner to listen to, but no!
another one appears through the turnstile to take their place.
Sorry davehart if you think you can change the moaners into your way of thinking, well don't even try, even Bill Fossey tried in his usual charming manner and had little success with them. |

heanors moaners are legendary! all the old faves from arnold, hucknall, belper, ilson and often used to love coming to us just to hear our critics slate our OWN TEAM, madness ! but funny, how we miss Albert" come n stand ere" , what a legend! years ago we slated a certain paul mable, it must av upset him but he came back seasons later and scored was it fifty something goals in that title winning season, cant do em that mutch harm, just shows we are passionate and want the lions up were we belong.put ridey on!! p.s Sean Needham deserved the abuse, he was awful( the slug) |
