Great team performance against one of the leagues better teams. Brilliant display of front line leadership from Ben Roffey, who chipped in with two great goals.

Nice to see something of a settled side, which gives us great hope for the second half of the season.

Well done to Mick, the Management team, and all the lads, for a great display and well earned three points from a tricky looking fixture.

UP THE TOWN !!!!!!!

Next Saturday at home to Southwell. BRING 'EM ON !!!!!!!

A superb performance from Heanor with The Lions scoring first with a goal from Graeme Fowkes. The home side came out after h/t all guns blazing and put Heanor under the cosh but Heanor hit them on the break with a superb turn and shot from Ben Roffey. 2-0. Askern again piled on the pressure and got one back to wake up the home support. 2-1. Askern could smell the equalizer but Heanor's defence were superb today, no way past these guys. Heanor went 3-1 up with another from new Heanor hero Ben Roffey, what a star!! Askern pulled one back to set up a tense last 5 mintes, but Heanor had the last say with Tom Williams steering in his first goal for the club. Great day out and well done to every Heanor player and to quote Heanor's assistant manager " we are just getting better and better " , too right mate. Very Happy Very Happy
