Please be aware that this match MAY not go ahead. Barton are having some works done to their Marsh Lane ground and their secretary told me last night (Tuesday) that the ground/pitch may not be ready for Saturday. Barton are looking for an alternative venue so if the game is on it is likely to be at another club. Barton are to make a final decision no later than Thursday. I will post more details as and when I get them.

It might be wise NOT to travel on Saturday without checking with me first. I will be at The Town Ground from around 12-12:30 on Saturday (01773 713742) and on my mobile (07870 618340). On Friday evening I am at home (01773 715328).

Do not rely on the Ripley & Heanor for news about the Barton game as that will have been published before I was told of the possibility of a change of venue/cancellation.

The Barton game on Saturday 4 Nov is OFF.

Our Reserves do though have a game at home against Arnold Town Reserves so all will be welcome at that - good football, food, the obligatory raffle and there will probably be some kids playing on the pitch at half time as well.
