Having watched Monday nights friendly against a Sth. Normanton under 19 team , I would be interested to hear any comments from other spectators regarding the present new look Heanor side and Management structure.
I personally feel worried that the new season is only days away, and by the look of the squad I fear for the results from the first two matches against potential Promotion seeking Southwell and Rainworth. As both these sides are physically the most aggresive in the league,I think that we may be too lightweight in many departments to cope with this and may face a difficult start to the new season unless there are more new signings to come in the next few days.
I hope that I will be proven wrong, and don`t wish to appear negative so early on. My only wish is for a "Successful Season" and wish all the players and management all the best for the coming season.
UP THE LIONS & SEE YOU ALL AT SOUTHELL SATURDAY WEEK !!!!!!!! |

after seeing the friendly today i would agree that we are very light weight and i thought man of the match was Aled but the back 4 have to talk to each other as DEANNO will be suffering for backache as the goals today were just because of people not dealing with problems but aall in all a good work out. When are we going to know who has put pen to paper willit be next Saturday or when Stan puts it in the local rag. |

sorry but that was crap, if we play like that we're relegated. the managemant didnt speak to the players, where was trav in the back line? we lacked leadership and most of all someone to put the foot on the ball. we need another 'pete davis' kind of midfielder, or even micky flynn to sit and make the ball work, number 10 had shown some kind of promise but still doesn't quite look the full player. number 4 from the 1st 1/2 needs shooting, he had a massive part to play in kmw first 2 goals, even kimberlys gaffer said he wanted to sign him as a forward. lets get it sorted before saturday lads, cant stand a season as cmfl's whipping boys. gotta say the higlight of the afternoon was when i nearly took the refs head off with the ball though. would like to say see you next saturday but i'm away so see all you smiling happy faces in a few weeks, good luck for next week lions! |

Come on Lions' fans, let's not get on a downer already. We have to accept that we are a team struggling to make an impact, not a "sleeping giant" or a "big team" in a small league.Heanor are playing at their correct level and will continue to do so untill such time as there is real change at the Town Ground eg.access to the ground close and early season, increased support, new changing rooms et al. These are things that can drive a club forward but are unavailable to us at the moment. So I say thank you to all who work behind the scenes and do so much to hold this club together and will continue to support the players who pull on a Heanor shirt and I will never boo or belittle them because our greatest strength is our support.
Come on you lions and come on you Lions supporters!!!!!!!
