I believe Andy has not made up his mind about wether to continue as manager due to family commitments, and pressure of work. But I think it only fair that the decision comes direct from him via this Forum, and that the gossips dont start to make up any sinister reasons for his resignation.

Andy we hope to hear from you soon!!

Whatever the decision I am sure we all wish him all the best!!!!!

I understand the problems that the current Manager has with his son playing in the acadamy of one of the Nottingham pro clubs, as I understand it, but I think he owes it both to the club and Heanor supporters to make his decision sooner rather than later. This would, in the event of his choice being to leave, give the club a fighting chance to recruit a quality replacement and if he chooses to stay on then players will know weather they wish to stay or move on.

Maybe he or she means the league representative manager, Paul Macfarland who, I understand, is looking for a club.

Proven manager with plenty of coaching experience and well thought of by players at our level of footie. Mind you would he, or anyone else decent for that matter, want to take the job on. I am reliably informed that the current Manager had his expenses budget slashed as did the Manager before him! not a lot to inspire anyone either currently in the job or considering taking it on.

See how many Managers have we had in the last 5 or 6 years? Smile Smile

It appears that Mr Freeman has left the club to return to Gedling Town with his old mate Gary Hayward.

Nothing against Andy, but you have to question anyone who would actually volunteer to spend time with that to**er Haywood, he'd be more use as a roller for the pitch than as a manager Wink

I must say that all this is speculation but probable true! Comments about the position of the Manager from the committee are conspicuious by their absence. Not one comment or announcement by the Secretary, who appears only to recognise this site as & when it suits him.

I understand that the job of Manager has been advertised and I also understand that there have been a number of applicants, allegedly including the League Representative Manager.

I also hear that a Glyn Stacey is looking for a club since the troubles at Long Eaton & Sandiacre Town. No! I dont think he will apply somehow but then again I could be proved wrong.

Well fellow mushrooms, sorry I mean supporters, why did the word mushroom come into my head? when mushrooms are things kept in the dark and fed on s**t, unlike the ever faithful regulars who swell the support each week to around 80 to 100 at home matches and cough up good money, who are informed regularly of all that goes off at HTFC.

I can only guess that we have not heard about the Manager situation because the Sec's computer must be off line or somthing similar or maybe the Chairman and his Treasurer wife are on hols and thats why we have heard nothing official. Perhaps we will hear somthing before the beginning of the season, well we pobably will, when the word "sponsership" and "money" or lack of it, are bounded around the Committee Room then we might hear somthing!!!

Sorry guys and gals but somehow I think we have been here before.

On a brighter note I understand that the First Team Captain received a 7 day ban and a modest fine for his sending off at Bolsover. Could have been a lot worse! I bet he's relieved about that as we all are!!
